Description

Flat cable, also known as a flexible circuit board (FPC). It is used for data transmission between moving parts and active areas, such as the data cable connecting the internal motherboard of a computer to a hard disk or optical drive, the data cable connecting the motherboard of a mobile phone to a display screen, and the data cable connecting devices, in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
The cable layout is small in size and light in weight, and the original design of the cable layout board was to replace larger harness wires. In current cutting edge electronic device assembly boards, cabling is usually the only solution to meet miniaturization and mobility requirements. Flat wiring (sometimes referred to as flexible printed wiring) is the etching of copper circuits or printed polymer thick film circuits onto a polymer substrate. For devices that are both thin and light, with compact and complex structures, their design solutions range from single-sided conductive circuits to complex multi-layer three-dimensional assemblies. The total weight and volume of the flat wire harness is 70% less than that of the traditional round wire harness method. The flat wire can also be strengthened by using reinforcing materials or backing plates to achieve additional mechanical stability.
