What is a Type-C data line?
Author:
Type-C data line refers to the data line of the USB Type-C interface. USB Type-C, abbreviated as Type-C, is the hardware interface specification for Universal Serial Bus (USB).
Type-C data line refers to the data line of the USB Type-C interface. USB Type-C, abbreviated as Type-C, is the hardware interface specification for Universal Serial Bus (USB).
The highlights of the Type-C interface are its slimmer design, faster transmission speeds (up to 10Gbps in USB3.1), and stronger power transmission (up to 100W).
The biggest feature of the Type-C dual sided pluggable interface is that it supports dual sided insertion of the USB interface, officially solving the worldwide problem of "USB never plugs correctly.". At the same time, the USB data cable used with it must be thinner and lighter.
Advantages of Type-C interface data cable:
1. Strong interface scalability
The Type-C interface has strong scalability and can transmit video and audio signals. It can be expanded to multiple audio and video output interfaces such as HDMI, VGA, and DVI, and can even be extended to 4K resolution
2. Two-way charging is possible
The Type-c interface can provide two-way power supply, which can both charge the device itself and power external devices.
3. Stronger data transmission capability and higher charging power
USB Type-C was mass produced in August 2014 using the 3.1 standard. Compared to the USB 2.0 interface used by early smartphones, the transmission speed is much higher, with a maximum data transmission speed of up to 10Gbit/sec. The type-c supports the USB-PD power supply standard, with a maximum power supply of up to 100 watts.
4. Lighter and thinner interface
Unlike the traditional USB Type-A and Type-B interfaces commonly found in daily life, the new Type-C interface has a slim size of only 8.3 * 2.5mm, making it more suitable for use in increasingly miniaturized electronic products and devices.
5. Support for front and rear insertion
Previously, Android phones were basically equipped with a Micro USB interface, while the Micro USB interface was a trapezoidal interface. The data cable can only be plugged in at the front, and sometimes it can't be plugged in after repeated attempts at charging at night. The Type-c interface perfectly avoids this disadvantage. The shape of the type-c interface is an elliptical interface that supports forward and reverse insertion, making it more convenient to use.
